Paint Party Workshop Leader – Covering the Horley, Crawley, East Grinstead areas.
Are you a Painty Create’y type? Do you have a Bubbly Confident personality? Are you looking for a fun way to earn some extra cash?
If like us regularly fall into a pinterest hole full to bursting of fun things to make, YOU could be just the person we are looking for to lead Painting and Creative/Craft Workshops in your area.
We are looking for smiley bubbly personalities to lead a variety of fun workshops which will consist of a mixture of painting workshops and craft projects, of which you will be taught how to make beforehand don’t worry. You must be happy standing up in front of an audience to lead the workshop, be a confident painter with the ability to positively give pointers to help with progress or technique to anyone struggling. Paintings are suited to beginners so we will not be asking you to lead anything daft like the painting of the Sistine Chapel.
So what is Artifex Creative?
Artifex Creative is a brand new addition to Artifex Designs born from the amount of people who have said ‘Wow your job is so fun… I want to learn how to do that!’ and why should we keep all the fun to ourselves.
The Artifex Studio in Cranleigh and also our licenced base, will host workshops exactly the same as you only yours will take place in a variety of pubs, restaurants and social venues within your area. The workshops will consist of a variety of painting parties as well as crafts such as wreath making, clay pot people, prosecco pineapples etc plus seasonally all the fun of Artifex Designs event theming and props including giant spiders, scarecrow making, spooky door wreaths plus Christmas decor and gifts. During the parties/workshops guests will be encouraged to get a drink at the bar to enjoy whilst getting their creative juices flowing.
As well as bookable paint parties and creative workshops there may also be the opportunity for more one off events for hen parties, family get togethers, corporate workshops etc
Experience leading workshops may be helpful but is not essential. Regular training will be provided. All kit and workshop materials are provided, including relevant Covid 19 PPE. You must have your own transport with the ability to also transport the kit needed for each workshop and we will ask you to have space to keep a kit box at your home of which we will top up as and when you need it.
A typical event:
- 6/6.30pm – Arrive at the venue to set up your workshop
- 7pm – Welcome guests and get them sorted with a workspace etc
- 7 – 9pm – Run your workshop
- 9 – 9.30pm – Clear away and head home
Voila – It’s as easy as that.
Pay: £60 per workshop
Hours are adhoc but will be mostly evenings. Hours and dates are flexible, but you will be required to be available for a minimum of set 2 evenings per month. Please note this is not a franchise opportunity, you will be paid for the parties you run. You will be asked to invoice us following your party/per month whichever suits and will be responsible for your own tax.

UPDATE – We have recruited a fabulous team member to run the craft element of this role so are looking for someone to work alongside them running the painting sessions, there will also be the opportunity to run craft sessions covering others when needed.

Creative Freelancers/Theme Team
If the thought of getting stuck in creating themed events, using your imagination, having fun, getting dirty, covering everything in cobweb, fake blood, snow or glitter and at the end of the day standing back with a real sense of pride in what we achieved together as team, appeals to you, I would love to hear from you.
Event theming work is on an as and when needed basis with the main event builds usually taking place between September and December. Pay based on experience and hours.

Similar to finding Father Christmas’s, Head Elves are vital to the successful running of any grotto. If you love Christmas, are overly enthusiastic, thrive on a busy but super festive and sparkly environment, have experience supervising a team and can lead by example, I would love to hear from you. Experience preferred but not essential, full training and costume provided. Pay based on experience, venue and hours.
